The short list of things that will get an account stopped, and what fair use actually means on an unlimited plan.
Fly what you are allowed to fly
You are responsible for holding the permissions your jurisdiction requires and for respecting the rights of people on the ground. Operators in India are subject to DGCA rules; elsewhere, your own regulator. We do not check, and uploading imagery is your assertion that you had the right to capture it.
Do not upload
- Imagery you did not capture or licence.
- Data captured over a site you had no permission to survey.
- Anything gathered for surveillance of identifiable individuals.
- Malware, or files crafted to attack the processing pipeline.
What fair use means here
Paid plans have unlimited flights and we mean it. What plans actually limit is how many flights process at once and how many photos one flight may contain, because those are what cost us machine time. Fair-use guidance exists only to catch automated abuse and sits far above any working operator.
If you cross it, we will contact you and talk about it. We will not silently throttle you, silently bill you, or stop a flight you are mid-season on.
Automation and the API
Scripting the API and pointing an AI agent at your own sites is expected and encouraged. Reselling raw processing capacity as if it were your own, or sharing one account across separate businesses to avoid concurrency limits, is not.
What we will do
Where something is clearly abusive or unlawful we may suspend processing immediately. Everywhere else we contact you first and give you a chance to fix it. Questions: legal@celesticlabs.org.
